Naveen Rao and David Hoffman of Intel have said the Trump administration should build on an executive order signed in February to develop a national strategy that would advance the development and deployment of artificial intelligence. Rao and Hoffman wrote in an article published Wednesday that Intel’s recommended national AI strategy focuses on four aspects and one is to promote research and development in AI.

Report: China Hackers Attempt to Steal Academe-Based Maritime Military Research
Hackers from China have attempted cyber attacks on around 27 universities around the world, with the University of Washington and Massachusetts Institute of Technology among targets, Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday. Cybersecurity professionals and U.S. officials have said that these attacks are part of China's plans to steal maritime technology research of the U.S. military, the report noted.
