Josh Elliot: Booz Allen Engages in Federal Deep Learning, AI Tech Development Projects
Josh Elliot, principal and director of artificial intelligence at Booz Allen Hamilton, told Datanami in an interview published Thursday about the company’s involvement in deep learning programs within the federal government. “We have probably 60 or more [projects] right now, today, active in deep learning, machine learning, and artificial intelligence types of projects across the federal government right now,†Elliot told the publication at NVIDIA’s GPU Technology Conference in San Jose, Calif.

Three Booz Allen Hamilton executives said there are five myths about change management in government information technology modernization and the first notion that should be debunked is that change management should concentrate on end users. “Successful change management requires a whole cultural change that goes beyond end users to encompass the entire stakeholder community – from your delivery teams and business units to your end user community,†Booz Allen’s Juli Dixon, Ben Marglin and Andrew Mason wrote in an FCW article published Thursday.

Maxar Technologies has agreed to integrate its NaturalVue 2.0 global image mosaic and National Urban Change Indicator with Esri’s collection of maps dubbed ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World on the cloud-based ArcGIS Online geospatial platform. Tony Frazier, executive vice president of global field operations at Maxar, said in a statement published Thursday the addition of NICU and NaturalVue 2.0 to the ArcGIS Online platform provides geographic information system professionals the ability to address global geospatial problems.
