An Idemia-developed algorithm has recorded over 95 percent accuracy during a Department of Homeland Security exercise aimed at assessing the capacity of facial recognition technology in identifying masked individuals. Idemia said Monday its algorithm also achieved a True Identification Rate of over 99.5 percent of subjects not wearing masks as part of the DHS Science and Technology Directorate’s 2020 Biometric Technology Rally.

NASA to Use Crystal Instruments-Built Ground Recorder to Collect Sonic Thump-Related Data
NASA will use a ground recorder developed by Crystal Instruments to measure an aircraft’s sonic thumps in the Mojave Desert in California. The space agency will field an aircraft from NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center in California to simulate the X-59 Quiet SuperSonic Technology's acoustic validation phase as part of the Carpet Determination in Entirety Measurements flight series and then will gather lessons from the CarpetDIEM tests to inform possible modifications that could be integrated into the final design of the Crystal Instruments Ground Recording System.

CAE's U.S. business arm has secured a contract of an undisclosed sum from the U.S. Air Force to provide and manage the military pilot training activities of 14 Irish Air Corps students over an 18-month period.
