Veteran aerospace executive Troy Brashear has been appointed vice president for international growth at Northrop Grumman‘s space systems business. A retired U.S. Air Force colonel and formerly vice president of satellite missions in the company, his new role in advancing Northrop’s global initiatives calls for collaboration with governments, military, industry and academia, Brashear said in a LinkedIn post Monday.
Brashear’s Other Past Roles in Northrop
Already nearing a decade of service in Northrop Grumman, he also previously served as vice president of the company’s combat sensors business, overseeing the development, production and delivery of combat avionics systems for several international bomber and fighter programs, according to his LinkedIn profile.
In another previous capacity as VP, Brashear handled the company’s integrated national systems business, leading the delivery of innovative air and space command and control systems to the Department of Defense and intelligence communities.
While with the Air Force, he formed and served for two years as the inaugural director of the Air Force Space Command’s Advanced Systems and Development Directorate, overseeing science and technology, developmental planning, demonstrations and prototyping.
Brashear holds a bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy and master’s degrees from the University of Southern California, George Washington University, Air University and National Defense University.
