Timothy Mayopoulos Joins SAIC’s Board of Directors Member; Edward Sanderson Comments

SAIC logoTimothy Mayopoulos, president and CEO of Fannie Mae, has joined Science Applications International Corp. as a member of the board of directors.

He will serve on the audit, nominating and corporate governance committees beginning on Feb. 19, SAIC said Monday.

SAIC Chairman Edward Sanderson Jr. said Mayopoulos will leverage his legal background to help the company execute its business strategy.

Mayopoulos is also a member of Fannie Mae’s board of directors.

He previously served as chief administrative officer of that company before moving into the president and CEO role in 2012.

Prior to those positions, Mayopoulos was Fannie Mae’s executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary since he joined the company in 2009.

He also held senior leadership roles at Bank of America, Credit Suisse First Boston and Deutsche Bank.
