Louisa-Long-JaffeLouisa Jaffe, president and CEO of TAPE LLC, has been appointed to serve as a member of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs‘ advisory committee on women veterans.

She will advise the agency on compensation, healthcare, rehabilitation and outreach programs for female veterans through at least September 2016, TAPE said Friday.

“I plan to approach with the same commitment, competency, and advocacy for veterans and women that has been my passion throughout my military and civilian career,” Jaffe said.

Jaffe, a 28-year U.S. Army Reserve veteran, is the first recipient of the National Veteran-Owned Business Association’s Woman Vetrepreneur of the Year award in 2014.

She has also participated in a White House-formed panel of veteran business owners.
