Salient’s Cindy Walker to Present Big Data Insights at IASA Event

Cindy Walker, vice president of Salient Federal Solutions’ data analytics center of excellence, is set to speak at an Insurance Accounting & Systems Association Inc. event on methods to extract value from big data.

Walker will present the user side and elements of big data analytics, visualization tools and various approaches to gaining insights into large volumes of data on Thursday at the Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa Austin in Texas, Salient Federal said Monday.

“Understanding what each analytics type can deliver, then aligning the analytics function to an organization’s operational needs can provide a dependable path to an optimal solution that can address business needs,” Walker said.

She will also discuss the four categories of analytics, namely descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive insights, as well as illustrate findings for communicating analytical insights.

“The goal of any analytics solution is to provide organizations with actionable insight to proactively drive better business outcomes and improve customer service levels,” said Walker.
