Logitech has introduced new video conferencing, meeting control and room scheduling devices for federal, state and local government agencies.

The company said Thursday the four new products, Rally Bar 2, Rally System 2 Pro, Tap IP 2 and Tap Scheduler 2, are intended for government settings such as agency meetings, briefings, legislative hearings, court proceedings and training sessions.

What Is Rally Bar 2?

Rally Bar 2 is a video bar for medium and large rooms that brings camera, audio and content-sharing functions together in a single device. It runs on a Qualcomm chipset that supports edge artificial intelligence processing.

The video bar features a custom lens, a 1-inch sensor with a 115-degree field of view, four speakers and six beamforming microphones, along with sensors that detect room occupancy and environmental conditions. Rally Bar 2 is certified for Microsoft Teams, Zoom Rooms and Google Meet and is built on the Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform.

Logitech said Rally Bar 2 can support day-to-day agency meetings, interagency coordination, public hearings and training. Its auto-provisioning feature allows IT teams to preconfigure device settings that take effect once the unit connects to Logitech Sync, which the company said is intended to speed up setup during large rollouts.

What Is Rally System 2 Pro?

Rally System 2 Pro is a modular video conferencing system built for large, complex and divisible rooms. The system includes:

  • RoomMate 2 Pro, a Qualcomm-powered compute unit that can run up to three 4K displays.
  • Rally AI Camera Pro, which pairs a wide-angle camera with an optical pan-tilt-zoom camera.
  • Rally Speaker 2, a networked speaker.
  • Logitech Link, which connects the components over Category cables without external extenders.

Logitech said the system can support legislative hearings, court proceedings, judicial chambers, mission-critical meetings and agency-wide training, and its modular design lets agencies adjust room configurations as their requirements change. Rally System 2 Pro is expected to be available in summer 2027.

What Are Tap IP 2 & Tap Scheduler 2?

Tap IP 2 is a network-connected touch controller that lets meeting participants join calls with one touch and manage content sharing, muting and camera settings from a single interface. Agencies can use the controller in conference rooms, briefing spaces and hybrid meeting areas, and the new version adds a brighter display and improved motion sensing.

Tap Scheduler 2 is a room scheduling panel that allows government personnel to find, reserve and manage shared meeting spaces through integration with major scheduling platforms. The panel offers a brighter, higher-resolution display, upgraded computing power, a built-in motion sensor and more visible room-status lights, and it works in both video-enabled and non-video rooms.

Both devices support Sync auto-provisioning, and IT and facilities teams can manage them centrally through Logitech Sync. Tap IP 2 and Tap Scheduler 2 are rolling out globally alongside Rally Bar 2.

What Collaboration Challenges Do Government Agencies Face?

A Market Connections survey commissioned by Logitech polled 200 U.S. federal civilian and defense personnel involved in managing workforce technology. The study found that 62 percent of respondents consider their technology inadequate for hybrid collaboration, while 54 percent said their conferencing systems increase the time and resources needed for troubleshooting.

According to Logitech, government personnel work across environments ranging from internal agency meetings and interagency coordination to public hearings, court proceedings, training and emergency response, and the technology supporting those spaces must perform reliably without placing added burden on users or IT staff.

The company said agencies at the federal, state and local levels need collaboration tools that accommodate different room types, use cases and workflows while remaining consistent and manageable across their facilities.
