SAIC logoLarry Sikes, a member of the mission assurance engineering contract team at Science Applications International Corp., has been selected to receive the NASA Johnson Space Center’s Silver Snoopy Award.

The award is given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the future of human space flight, SAIC said Tuesday.

“The Silver Snoopy award is the astronauts’ personal award and less than one percent of the total NASA/contractor workforce receives the Silver Snoopy award annually,” said Ken Cameron, an SAIC program manager.

Sikes received the award from the NASA Astronaut Corps due to his leadership in program implementation for testing and products at the W. David Beverly Receiving, Inspection and Test Facility.

Astronauts Randy Bresnick and Stan Love presented the award to Sikes.
