Fulcrum has been selected for the 2014 Helios Apollo “Tessera” Award by a panel of senior human resources executives and industry leaders for conducting activities and programs centered on employee development and engagement.

The Centreville, Va.-based technology firm was presented the award during last week’s Helios HR awards ceremony in Virginia, Fulcrum said Thursday.

“This award recognizes all facets of our culture created and fostered by our outstanding employees, our incredible staff and throughout each echelon of the Fulcrum Leadership Team,” said Jeff Handy, Fulcrum CEO.

With a nominee pool of 200 companies, the Helios Apollo award is given in six categories:

  • Ena – one to 50 employees;
  • Thio – 51 to 100 employees;
  • Tria – 101 to 250 employees;
  • Tessera – 251 to 750 employees;
  • Pente – 1,000 or more employees; and
  • Hercules – nonprofits.

Kathy Albarado, CEO of Helios HR, noted that Apollo participants’ employee development programs are above the national average.

Fulcrum said it holds a quarterly speed mentoring program and an annual leadership summit.
