Fluor-Designed Plasma Fractionation Facility Wins a ‘Facility of the Year’ Award; Juan Hernandez Comments

b-w world-peopleA Clayton, N.C.-based plasma fractionation facility designed and built by Fluor Corp. has won the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering’s 2014 facility of the year award for project execution.

The award from recognizes the modular construction techniques used by Fluor to build the 150,000-square foot facility, the company announced Thursday.

“Fluor provides project management and execution excellence for pharmaceutical and biotech clients across the globe, and the Grifols blood plasma facility in North Carolina is a great example of successful outcomes,” said Juan Hernandez, Fluor president of industrial services.

The Grifols North Fractionation Facility is the biggest plasma fractionation facility in the world, Fluor says.
