Darktrace is expanding its operations by establishing a new deployment center and corporate office in Dallas, Texas, and appointing two new executives to its leadership team.
New Darktrace Facilities
The artificial intelligence cybersecurity company said Monday the 7,555-square-foot deployment facility, scheduled to be operational by September, is intended to reduce delivery times of physical appliances to deploy Darktrace’s AI cybersecurity offerings to customers. It is expected to ship up to 40,000 appliances annually. The new center will also deliver physical security capabilities to help Darktrace Federal customers, the company’s Arlington, Virginia-based affiliate, meet the compliance requirements of its U.S. Federal government customers.
Darktrace, which currently operates 12 offices in the U.S., will also open a new corporate office in Dallas.
New Appointments
As part of its growth strategy, Darktrace named former GoPro senior vice president Eve Saltman and Marty Overman, formerly of McAfee and Cisco, to its executive team. Saltman will serve as chief legal officer and company secretary while Overman will be the executive VP of the company’s Americas sales team.
Remarks From Darktrace CEO Jill Popelka
“In addition to these new senior hires and expanded facilities in the U.S., we are also making strategic investments to deepen our relationships with the leading channel resellers, to enhance our customer experience, to support federal customers with their increasingly complex cybersecurity needs and to build our brand awareness in this critical market for cybersecurity,” said Jill Popelka, CEO of Darktrace.
