Defense technology company Dark Wolf Solutions announced on LinkedIn Thursday that its DevSecOps tool Saving Throw has gained Awardable status under the Platform One, or P1, Solutions Marketplace. Its offering is designed to detect software or hardware security flaws before adversaries exploit them, the company said.
Patch for Zero-Day Vulnerabilities
The company noted that Saving Throw addresses the hidden gaps, called zero-day vulnerabilities, which are unknown to vendors or developers and are introduced during software or hardware compilation. The tool also tracks vulnerabilities within third-party libraries and weaknesses arising from insecure coding processes, Dark Wolf Solutions added.
The P1 Solutions Marketplace listing demonstrates Saving Throw’s strong potential to enhance and safeguard critical Department of Defense missions, Dark Wolf Solutions said.
P1-listed tools and services pass through assessments on mission alignment and compliance. Other areas that the digital marketplace supports besides platform security and DevSecOps engineering tools, include edge computing.
Dark Wolf Solutions’ defense technologies also include Next-Generation Integrated Testing and Optimization, or NITO, a tool that received Awardable status in April through the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office’s Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace. NITO provides artificial intelligence-powered automated software testing to reduce black-box testing, while performing software checks on issues that unit tests will miss.
