GE Aviation Lands $87M Navy Contract to Repair Aircraft Generator Parts
General Electric's aviation business has secured a potential five-year, $87.1M contract from the U.S. Navy to repair 33 G2 and G3 generator converter components aboard F/A-18 fighter aircraft. Contract work will run through February 2022 and may extend to two more years if the service exercises the additional option, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

The General Services Administration has introduced on IT Schedule 70 acquisition vehicle a new special item number for wireless mobility platforms to replace the Federal Strategic Sourcing Initiative wireless blanket purchase agreements. GSA said Thursday the Wireless Mobility Solutions SIN covers 11 new service categories.

Tom Romeo, general manager of federal business at Maximus, has said there are four trends that would drive information technology modernization in the federal government this year and one is the focus of agencies on enhancing citizen experience.
