SAP and Nokia‘s HERE company have agreed to bundle HERE’s base maps into the SAP HANA platform in an effort to help clients gain insights into geo-content points.
SAP will offer HERE maps as a component of the SAP HANA service pack 9 scheduled for release in December, Nokia said Tuesday.
“We anticipate that the geo-content and services provided by the HERE platform, paired with the in-memory and spatial-processing capabilities of SAP HANA, will enable customers to simplify and accelerate the geo-enablement of applications,” said Hinnerk Gildhoff, development manager of SAP HANA.
Nokia designed the HERE map service to help organizations geo-reference and visualize data in order to identify trends.
