What Will Herzog Oversee at Loyal Source?
The company said Tuesday Herzog will lead the expansion of Loyal Source’s healthcare services for government and commercial customers. Her work will involve coordinating clinical teams, technology and staffing with the operational needs of each customer.
Her division’s scope includes provider networks, care sites, virtual care, contact centers, digital engagement, patient support and back-office operations. Loyal Source said the effort will focus on care quality and service outcomes in complex operating environments.
Heath Starr, chief revenue officer of Loyal Source, said Herzog’s experience managing large-scale healthcare operations would help the company adapt its services to agencies’ individual missions and requirements. He emphasized that federal customers should be able to meet operational demands without compromising mission-specific needs.
The appointment follows Loyal Source’s promotion of Starr to chief revenue officer and its selection of Jody Carpenter as senior director of operational excellence earlier in October. In April, the company hired Gil Smith as executive director of growth and development.
Who Is Katie Herzog?
Herzog is a healthcare operations executive who spent the last decade at CareSource, where she most recently served as VP of service operations. In that role, she oversaw member- and provider-facing care services, including customer service, grievances and appeals and language services. She also directed workforce management, reporting and analytics functions and integrated digital and AI capabilities into member support.
She previously served as director of provider services, managing teams that handled provider inquiries and escalations.
Herzog said she was drawn to Loyal Source by the opportunity to build on the company’s existing capabilities and shape its future healthcare services.
“I’ve always believed that the best healthcare solutions start with a clear understanding of the people we serve and the challenges they face,” she said.
