Scott Gnau, formerly president of Teradata Labs, has joined Hortonworks as chief technology officer.
He will begin with his new responsibility for Hortonworks’ global technology strategy, product direction, and research and development programs on April 27, Hortonworks said Tuesday.
Hortonworks CEO Rob Bearden said Gnau’s background in data management and analytics would add value to Hortonworks’ data platform.
Gnau most recently oversaw Teradata’s research, development and sales support activities for data warehousing, big data analytics and related services.
