The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors foundation will provide support to families of DynCorp International employees that die while performing their jobs.

DynCorp’s Employee Assistance Program will coordinate with TAPS to provide bereavement care and and other services such as case work assistance and grief and trauma resources to families, DynCorp and TAPS said Monday.

“We feel incredibly fortunate to be able to continue working with TAPS, coordinating the most comprehensive care for family members of those who lose a loved one while working with DI,” said Steve Gaffney, DynCorp chairman and CEO.

TAPS and DynCorp signed an agreement for the services and this is the first employee family support services arrangement TAPS has formed with a private company.
