The T-7A Red Hawk trainer aircraft developed through a partnership between Boeing and Saab has concluded 80 percent of phase 1 assessments and is undergoing hot-weather testing in St. Louis, Mo., AIN Online reported Monday.

Saab has begun assembly production efforts for the aft fuselage component of a trainer aircraft system to be used by the U.S. Air Force.

Boeing has selected Raytheon Technologies' Collins Aerospace subsidiary to provide navigation receivers for the U.S. Air Force's T-7A Red Hawk pilot training system.
