NuWave Solutions has purchased a ProModel Corp. business segment that offers analytic software platforms to the U.S. government, for an undisclosed sum.

ProModel Government Services has built model-based technology offerings designed to help organizations visualize disparate data and gain situational awareness in near-real time based on decisions, NuWave said Tuesday.

“It's critical that the Department of Defense and other government organizations not only make the best decisions for today, but also have the tools to accurately predict how those decisions will impact future plans,” said Reggie Brothers, CEO of NuWave and a GovCon Expert.

He added that ProModel Government Services' technologies and methodologies have the potential to support agency decision-making processes.

Baird served as ProModel's financial adviser on the sale and Harrison Harvey Branzburg acted as its legal adviser, while Akerman and EY respectively acted as legal and financial advisers to NuWave.

“There is a strong strategic focus on companies that operate in data intensive environments, helping the government make better decisions in real time. NuWave has done a great job in focusing on companies that have high-end, advanced analytics capabilities with its acquisitions of BigBear and now ProModel Government Services,” Jean Stack, managing director for Baird and a previous Wash100 awardee, told ExecutiveBiz.

The deal marks the second for NuWave since its acquisition by AE Industrial Partners in June. NuWave closed its acquisition of cloud-based big data analytics company BigBear in early December.
