Infosys' U.S. public services subsidiary has introduced a cloud-based technology built to help government health organizations extract and analyze data from various sources to support policy development and decision-making processes.

The Health Insights Platform is intended to facility public health data analysis efforts that can involve the identification of individuals at high risk for infections, prediction of outbreak hotspots and generation of crisis management insights, the company said Wednesday.

Eric Paternoster, president and and CEO of Infosys Public Services, said the business will apply its Cobalt cloud services portfolio along with analytics, data management and artificial intelligence tools in efforts to help agencies address public health challenges.

Amazon Web Services, Couchbase and Knowi helped develop the IHIP offering, which incorporates AWS services such as Simple Storage Service, Athena and Redshift.

The American Council for Technology–Industry Advisory Council selected the platform as a 2020 Igniting Innovation Awards finalist.
