The Department of Defense has unveiled the recipients of the Nunn-Perry Award for fiscal year 2019.

The awardees have been recognized for their efforts in development and protege growth in support of the Mentor Protege program, DoD said Tuesday.

Launched in 1990, the Mentor Protege initiative seeks to help government contractors address DoD subcontract requirements and contract objectives.

“The DoD Mentor Protégé Program helps innovators grow as companies to meet the growing and shifting demands of the warfighter and the Department,” said Shannon Jackson, deputy director at the Office of Small Business Programs.

The recipients are:

  • Global Resource Solutions, Advanced Decision Vectors, A&M College of Business and Southern University

  • IBM, Steel Point Solutions, Morgan State University

  • Lockheed Martin, Marvin Engineering, University of Texas at El Paso

  • Parsons, Mb Solutions, Alabama State University

  • Raytheon Technologies, Kord Technologies, Bethune-Cookman University, Oakwood University

  • System Studies & Simulation, R2C, J.F. Drake State Community and Technical College, Oakwood University
