CGI has been awarded a six-year, $267 million task order to provide cybersecurity consulting services under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation Program, the company announced on Wednesday.

“In partnership with CISA we have worked across many agencies to identify and address cybersecurity challenges. We look forward to continuing our support of this critical cross-agency initiative and leveraging our wealth of cybersecurity and shared services expertise to help DHS achieve its ultimate objectives,” said CGI senior vice-president Stephanie Mango.

CGI will provide its services for CDM’s Dynamic and Evolving Federal Enterprise Network Defense (DEFEND) Group F Federal agencies. The contract was awarded via the U.S. General Services Administration’s (GSA) Alliant 2 government-wide acquisition contract through an acquisition conducted by GSA FEDSIM.

With the Group F contract, CGI will leverage the company’s experience with the CDM Program. CGI’s shared services platform will deliver and provide non-CFO Act agencies access to the same cybersecurity tools as their larger, cabinet-level counterparts.

Under the task order, CGI will support DHS’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) with a shared services platform to deliver CDM cybersecurity capabilities to over 75 non-Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Act agencies.

The company will provide a shared services catalog (SSC) of capabilities and services that will meet CDM program goals. CGI’s SSC will help agencies advance with the threat and technology landscape and enable CGI to develop solutions that expand cloud native and hosted service solutions.

CGI’s task order will add to the company’s support of  the CDM program. In 2016, CGI was awarded a contract for identity management services through the Credential Management Task Order, providing design and implementation services to 26 Federal agencies.

The company has also provided agencies with tools, sensors and services to enact new elements of credential management to strengthen policies and practices for all authorized users at federal agencies. In addition, CGI was awarded a six-year task order under the DEFEND Group C contract in 2018.

The contract has implemented new cybersecurity capabilities through standardized security stacks for a set of seven large agencies. Under the Group C contract, CGI has provided agencies with advanced visibility and insight within cyber risks, utilizing centralized view across the government infrastructure.

“CGI has played a strategic role and has been a trusted partner to CISA, for the past four years, though our work on Credential Management and DEFEND Group C,” Mango added.
